Mary Robinson studied art at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, then received a BA degree in English and Journalism from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. She has had a forty-year career in Marketing and Sales. She sold advertising space and wrote editorial for newspaper and magazine and then co-authored and illustrated “Hassle-free Boston, a Women’s Guidebook to Boston,” published by Lewis Publishing in 1985. She was editorial assistant on several other books published by Yankee Books, and illustrated two children’s books, currently unpublished.
During her career, she was responsible for the development of branding campaigns for many consumer and medical products. She was a global events director and owned and operated a boutique marketing agency for over ten years. She is a Communicator Awards winner, a Global Awards winner, and a recipient of two Telly Awards. She was represented by Boston Casting and Slate Casting agencies and appeared in corporate videos, sales training materials, as well as advertisements for corporate and industrial media.
Most recently Mary has been a freelance writer, writing content for digital platforms and corporate marketing materials. The Meeting Planner is her first novel. Mary is a native of Massachusetts but currently lives in South Carolina with her family and mini-golden retriever, Dixie.

Follow Lacey, a young woman from Boston, who takes on the career of her dreams as a Global Meeting Planner, as her life falls into a world of international business travel and event planning. She soon learns that it is not the job she thought it would be when she discovers the lack of ethics and impropriety that come with it.

Newly engaged, Lacey unwittingly falls in love with a married vice president from the company on her first big corporate event. Her world becomes a maze of glamourous travel to destinations like Hawaii, Bermuda, France, Australia and South Africa while managing her events amidst a secret love affair. In the end, she loses the things that were important to her; her fiancé, her house, her friends, and her life, and, it all comes crashing down on her one fateful night at the office.
